In spring, the countryside is bright with many colored flowers including golden gorse and broom.

Summers are mild, moderated by the sea breezes with a unique hazy light that lends a special quality to the region. In autumn, the trees turn russet and glow at sunset while rough seas provide wonderful spectacle.

Winter is also mild with the same mean temperature as the Mediterranean coast.
